The idea that fans of "Doctor Who", and especially "New Who", could be a bunch of "racist" "homophobes" in the first place is astoundingly ridiculous. I want someone to explain to me how fans of a show that has predominantly mixed-race couples, several gay/bi characters that are fan favorites, and several "characters of color" that are fan favorites can be a bunch of "racist homophobes". REAL racists and homophobes would have hated Doctor Who since 2005! It just doesn't make any rational sense.

These shows think they're popular and are tapping into the mainstream, but for at least a decade of doing this we've seen movies bomb, TV views plummet, comic book sales fall, and video games fail, there is no audience for this at least not big enough to support them the way the majority of real fans supported so many franchises for so long.

I agree: The creators know the show is dead, they hate the audience for it and therefore they want to make the final hours as ugly as possible.

I knew I was going to hate it and I do. I forced myself through the 1st episode hoping I was wrong but I wasn't. I could not get past half way through the 2nd episode and now refuse to watch it until I hear of a good review. IF you want to make a programme like this invent your own! Leave Dr Who alone! Since when did the most important characteristic of a person become who/what they rub their junk against? It would never occur to me to inform people that I was straight, and the few times it's been speculated that I was into cock I never bothered correcting the person speculating (unless it was a hot chick). I haven't watched this in years. DW died with Capaldi and even then it was 95% horribly bad even then but at least it was recognizable as DW. This has nothing to do with anything. I will stick to Classic Who, Big Finish and my fave DW books.
